OUR HISTORY

Our History
The beginnings of Ovalle’s Mexican Café reach back to when Erwin Ovalle was a young child. His grandparents, followed by his parents owned a bakery, and many of his memories are those of helping them bake bread and serve customers. Anytime someone asked Erwin what he wanted to be, he responded that he wanted to be a baker.

Erwin studied Tourism and Hotel Administration in college, doing his internship in a hotel where he worked in every area, including the restaurant. This confirmed his decision to one day be the proud owner of a Café/Bakery, and when his travels led him to discover the rich cuisine available in Mexico, he knew this is what he wanted to share with his customers.

What makes Mexican street food so desirable is the whole experience breathing the aromas, interacting with the cooks, customizing your choices. That is all part of the experience offered at Ovalle’s. This cafe is a dream come true. A dream that found its inspiration in the world Erwin grew up in, helping his parents, traveling, and enjoying the wonderful food provided by street vendors. Ovalle’s perfects this dream by offering an intimate dining experience and rich, handcrafted foods. It is a place filled with tantalizing aromas,a place where you can sense the dynamism of Mexico and feel the Latin rhythm.

Although the menu is rooted in what is known to be Mexican regional cuisine, Ovalle’s gives new life and flavors to the traditional dishes. Everything is made from scratch, to provide the best possible taste experience. By immersing ourselves in the Mexican culture, we at Ovalle’s find our inspiration to create dishes that represent the best of what Mexican cuisine has to offer, and we do so with love and respect. Our main goal at Ovalle’s Mexican Café is to provide you with flavors and aromas that are truly out of this world.
